5G Commercial services will start appearing in the Japanese market in 2019 in a very limited and basic form, and widespread deployments will not start in earnest until 2020 and beyond. We are starting to see from other countries, however, the kinds of services that enterprises will use on 5G networks and Japanese enterprises need to start considering these options and planning accordingly as the ultra-fast and low-latency benefits of a 5G network will add new capabilities towards achieving digital transformation.【抄訳】国内での5G商用サービスは、2019年に基本的なサービスが非常に限られた範囲で開始され、2020年以降、本格的にサービスが広範囲に展開されるであろう。一方、海外ではすでにさまざまな動きが見られ始めている。国内企業は、5Gネットワークがもたらす超高速かつ低遅延のメリットやサービスの種類について理解を深め、自社のデジタルトランスフォーメーション戦略の計画を進めるべきである。
