One of the more recent terms which has arisen in the IT industry is the concept of Web 3, or Web3, which tries to explain how the Internet will operate in the future, and is radically different from its current form. The essential challenge that Web3 seeks to address is the fact that the Internet as it exists now is heavily centralized. This in turn means that a relatively small number of organizations wield a large amount of control over governance of the World Wide Web. Web3 is a vision of a decentralized concept for how the Internet will operate, which seeks to distribute control more equally among users using technologies such as blockchain, NFTs, and the metaverse, and while in its infancy has the potential to reinvent the entire online ecosystem, and hence, is an important concept to follow.【抄訳】IT業界で最近生まれた言葉に「Web3」がある。これは、将来のインターネットの運営方法を示す概念であり、現在の方法とは根本的に異なるものである。Web3が目指しているのは、現在のインターネットが中央集権的である事実に対する本質的な挑戦である。つまり、現在は、比較的少数の組織がWorld Wide Webのガバナンスに大きな支配力を行使しているが、ブロックチェーン、NFT、メタバースなどのテクノロジを用いて、ユーザー間でより平等に制御を分散するというのがWeb3の将来像のコンセプトである。まだ発展途上ではあるものの、オンラインのエコシステム全体を改革する可能性を秘めており、注目すべき重要なコンセプトである。
